Instagram adds "Last Seen" feature to its Direct Messaging

Ever wanted to see someone special's last seen on Instagram or wanted to check last activity of someone on Instagram? Well, guess what? Now you can. Yes, Instagram has made it possible.

Instagram has come up with a new feature for its users. Now, Instagram has added "Last Seen" feature to its Direct messaging tab. From now on, you can see the time when your friends were online. Besides "seen" feature, it is a very useful feature added to Instagram Direct. 

Like whatsapp, you can turn the activity status off on Instagram also. For some people, it is a matter of privacy and they don't want to share their activity status. Well, Instagram has also considered this while adding the "Last seen" feature. 

To turn off the activity feature, follow the following steps. 

1. Go to settings.
2. Scroll down to "Show Activity Status".
3. Turn the toggle off.

Well that's all. You have now turned that feature off. Be known, that you will not see other people's activity status if you turn yours off.
